A Dustland Fairytale

With a title inspired by a song of the same name by the American band The Killers, “A Dustland Fairytale” is a fictional story of the lives of two queer women living in a rural area of the United States, set in the mid-20th century. This “fairytale” is wrought with love, longing, and tinged with the dark fear of being outed as queer in rural America.
